Armando Alemdar Ara was born in Macedonia of Turkish parentage. He is working and living in London since 1992 as an artist, curator and art historian. He is a figurative painter of the spiritual dimension as embodied in the timeless form of the nude. 

 

In 2001 Armando co-founded Neomodernism, a new way of thinking about the ‘old’ masters and exploring ways to identify timeless qualities in art from all ages. In 2003 Armando began researching a PhD at Sussex University with thesis entitled Dialectical Aesthetics.

Armando’s art is currently represented by galleries in Florence, London and  Istanbul. His work has been exhibited throughout the world in solo exhibitions as well as art fairs, such as the Affordable Art Fair and prestigious London Art Fair.
